CONTENT IS STILL KING – here’s how to write MORE

We've said it before and we'll say it again - CONTENT IS KING. In order to rank well on Google, Bing, Yahoo and other search engines, you need to have a large amount of QUALITY, ORIGINAL, RELEVANT content. And if you're already adding content to your site - you probably need to add more.

We recommend that you add AT LEAST 30 pieces of content to your website each month. If you are in a competitive area, you need to add much more. So - how can you get more content on your website? Here are some tips:

  1. Jot down questions that your clients ask you throughout the week, and turn them into quick FAQs for your site.
  2. Notice what you tell clients when they're in your office or on the phone - can you turn your knowledge into an informative, 400 word article?
  3. Write about local events. Do you take burn cases? Write about a local fire. Auto accidents? Write about that DUI that happened the other night.
  4. Do you have an intern, paralegal or assistant? Give them your notes or ideas and let them turn them into website content. Even better, get them on a schedule so they add a set amount of content each week.
  5. Mix it up - don't think you have to write long articles for each piece. Add short FAQs, blog posts, summaries of local news stories - these can all be 200-250 words.
  6. Write about content themes. So a local accident was caused by a teenager texting and driving? Write an article about the dangers of texting and driving, a news story about the actual accident, a blog post about what your state is doing about texting and driving laws, and an FAQ for people who suspect their accident was caused by a texter. That's four pieces of content from ONE idea!
  7. Get us to write monthly content for you. We have a variety of content management services you can choose from.
