Google Instant – Should You Panic?

Google Instant has caused uproar in the SEO world.  Recently, Tom Foster and George Murphy attended a conference where they heard firsthand from Google about this new feature.

Google Instant is supposed to be an enhancement to the search process. It anticipates what you are searching for as you type.  For example, if you are looking for a Virginia car accident attorney, as soon as you type “Virginia” Google will start to auto populate the search results.  Initially, you might see Virginia state government websites, but as you type in more words, your search will be revised.  One of the concerns many SEO experts have is the impact it will have on long tail keywords.

What you need to understand is that Internet marketing is constantly changing and it is important to adapt to the “new rules.”
Google Instant may impact the entire industry as a whole, but there will be ways in which you can take advantage of this search feature.  We are currently working on new strategies to help our clients benefit from Google Instant.

We will keep you updated on new developments regarding Google Instant and other Internet marketing news.  Be sure to check our website often for the latest information.
