Google+ Is Open To The Public, But Activity Has Plummeted – Now What?

Google's new social networking site Google+ recently switched from its invite-only system to a system that is open to the public. However, soon after, activity on the Facebook competitor fell by a staggering 60 percent. While the website reportedly already has an estimated 43 million users, a large number of those who have signed up for accounts have not stuck around to use the site's features.

Why hasn't Google+ taken off?

Some social media experts believe that the website simply doesn't have enough unique features or benefits in comparison to Facebook to make people switch to something new.

Has Google+ peaked for good?

Many believe that we shouldn't write off Google+ altogether. The website is still planning to add new features, and a social networking site that is integrated with Google's many other successful ventures could find success down the road.

Should I sign my attorney website up for Google+?

Businesses and fan pages are not yet available on the website, but they are expected to be soon. In fact, the business pages may offer better opportunities for marketing than Facebook. We will have to wait and see.
