Marketing as a Lifestyle Rather than a Business Tool

If you've ever been to a Great Legal Marketing conference, you've heard Ben Glass say that marketing is a means to a better life, not just a better business. It's about being home in time for dinner and working fewer hours. It doesn't happen overnight, but the right approach to marketing your law firm can literally change your life. Here are 3 ways to get your practice turned around quick!

  1. Automate every process possible. Email marketing, newsletters, social media, web content...you can automate all of these processes either with software or by outsourcing. They are all powerful marketing tools that are time consuming if performed manually, and you don't have that kind of time. Find a way to make it happen while you sleep, and we guarantee you'll sleep better.
  2. Don't wait for the next big thing. The Internet changes too quickly to sit around waiting for the "magic pill" that is going to change your business. The things you do today could start bringing in more cases tomorrow! For example, Google+ is a brand new social network. Don't wait around to see if it will catch on, go ahead and test it out for yourself. Check out Gerry Oginski's page to see exactly what we mean. Don't be a sit-and-wait marketer...take action!
  3. Block out every distraction. Have you ever wondered how Ben Glass has time for 9 kids, 3 businesses and still manages to run marathons? It's because he is a time management master. In fact, he even wrote a book called Militant Time Management for Lawyers. In addition to using your time wisely, block out people in your life who are distracting or negative. As Rem Jackson reminds us at the Great Legal Marketing conferences, "you are the average of the 5 people you hang out with most." Hang out with winners and you can be one also.

If you are a solo practitioner or member of a small law firm and want to transform your practice into the one you always dreamed of, take a look at the video below. Ben Glass, Rem Jackson, and Tom Foster have years of experience in life-changing marketing.
