If you're not Lady Gaga or Bill Gates, how do you go about attracting Twitter followers? According to a recent article posted on Mashable.com, there are a few things that you can do.
The article, HOW TO: Gain Twitter Influence, featured advice from two Web experts – Guy Kawasaki (co-founder of Alltop) and Robert Scoble (a notorious blogger). Here are some of their tips for attracting Twitter followers:
Spend some time on Twitter. If you want to attract and keep followers, then you need to create interesting Twitter messages, known as tweets. That could mean that you create 2 tweets a day or 20 tweets. The important thing is that you produce relevant information for your followers.
Engage your followers. Communication goes both ways. If one of your Twitter followers asks you a question, be sure to respond.
Choose a niche. According to Scoble, you should start off by thinking about your passions. If you want to be viewed as an expert on a particular topic, you need to pick a very specific topic.
When using Twitter to grow your practice, keep in mind that it isn’t an overnight process. It takes time and consistency. For more information, be sure to order a FREE copy of our report, Twitter for Attorneys.
