In order to use SEM to its fullest, you must know what tools are in the toolbox and how to use them. There are many tools to use, and they fall into the following four categories:
Keyword Research & Analysis – The three major goals of this category are to make sure that site can be indexed in the search engines, find the most relevant and popular key words/phrases for your website and practice, and use those found key words/phrases in a way that will create traffic.
Website Saturation & Popularity – This shows your search engine footprint. How many pages you have indexed on a search engine, and how many times is your site linked to another site?
Back-End Tools – These tools are the tools offered to you by other websites. For example, Google Analytics, YouTube Insight, and Twitter Web Analytics.
Who Is Tools – This useful tool will show who owns and operates various websites. It also provides information regarding copyright and trademark issues.
Search engine marketing contains its own box of tools, and, if all are used in conjunction and correctly, it will benefit your placement on any search results page.
