We are all enticed by things that are “free.” After all, what do we have to lose by taking someone up on a free offer? The same logic applies to your website and prospective clients.

When you are thinking about Internet marketing, put yourself in your prospective clients’ shoes. If they are searching for advice on what to do after a car accident, give them a free offer that will answer their questions. Your free offer can be a book, report or other type of educational piece that will show your prospects that you know what you are talking about. A free offer will also help build your herd.

As important as it is to be listed at the top of search engine results, you also need to have a way to convert people once they are on your website. There needs to be some type of call to action that is going to get someone to say, “Yes, I want what you are providing.” A free offer is a great conversion tool and has been known to increase client bases by at least 60 percent. If you have a book or something similar promoted on your website, you are going to get someone to stop and see what you have to say. You want their search to end once they find your website.
