Are you making the most of your external blog? Optimize your RSS feed with these tips!

If you're trying to expand your presence on the internet, a blog is a great option. If you have a website intended to pull in Houston car accident victims, starting a blog for Houston car accident victims is a great idea. One of the unique features of DSS is that you can add a nearly infinite number of RSS feeds to your Foster Web Marketing site, allowing visitors to your main site the ability to see your informative blog.

How can you add an RSS feed to your FWM site?

1. In DSS, navigate to Site Setup, then select External RSS Feeds
   Pick the feed location - this tells DSS to display your RSS feed links either above or below your existing DSS blog
   Enter the blog URL and RSS feed URL (click on the RSS feed button on your blog to find this)
   Add a title to your blog if you want to control what appears on your FWM site

Important RSS Feed TIP - set your MAX DISPLAY

Set the MAX DISPLAY - this is the number of blog posts that will show up on your FWM site. If you set it to 0, we'll display all of your blog posts (which can be quite a lot!) We recommend that you cut this down to 3 to 5, so your site isn't overwhelmed with posts from your external blog. Believe it or not, having a lot of links on a page can actually hurt your website!
