All is Fair with Google Search Results

Google always does its best to make sure that rankings and search results are fair. They provide results that are based on your work versus their work. If your attorney website has the keywords that users are looking for, then your site will rank at the top of the page. The same ethic is provided for video search.

After determining the content of the video using our spidering technology, Google then combines sophisticated text-matching techniques to find videos that are both important and relevant to your search. Our technology examines dozens of aspects of the video's content (including number of hits and rating) to determine if it's a good match for your query.

Please be assured that we're continually working to improve our algorithms to provide the most relevant results for your query."

Again, when it comes to search results, it is based on content. If you are providing excellent, relevant content through your videos, then you are optimizing the search results. Keep your videos up to date, and use tracking to provide you with data needed to make sure that your videos are still working for you -- not against you.

How to Track Videos

  • 1. Create a video Sitemap file.
  • 2. Include vanity URLs.
  • 3. 301 redirect to URLs with tracking parameters.
  • 4. Submit video Sitemap.
  • 5. Monitor the results.

Google provides algorithms that can either hurt your attorney web marketing or provide you with optimal search results. Google will provide either scenario depending on the amount of work, time, and effort you have placed on all of your online marketing.
