Four easy steps to boost traffic and ratings on your Google Places page!

The Problem: You’ve set up your Google places page (or you are going to), but you need a bunch of positive client reviews to give your firm credibility and make potential clients more likely to contact you.

The Solution: Set up an easy way to remember the domain name linked to your Google places page. Then add the link to your FWM website so your clients can directly visit your Google Places page to leave feedback, and use the link in your other marketing efforts to drive even more traffic to your Places page!

Does this sound too good to be true? Well it isn’t, and here are the FOUR steps that will help direct clients & web visitors to your Google Places page:
  1. Buy a new domain name from wherever you host your current domain name(s). Our own domain name for this is www.reviewFWM.com. Don’t overthink this – just make it short & sweet. The whole point of this step is to avoid using the really, really (really!) long Google Places URL which looks like gibberish.
  2. Forward this new domain name to your Google Places URL (click this link to get a Google Places URL if you don’t already have one.) Note: each domain name provider sets up forwarding differently, so check with them if you aren’t sure how to do it.
  3. Send your new domain name out to clients in marketing or follow-up emails or letters. This will give your previous clients an easy way to review your firm and new clients an easy way to find you and read all those great reviews. We bet you’ll find many uses for your new, short Google Places domain name!
  4. Add your new link to your FWM website(s). There are a few ways to do this. You can create or update your Global DSS footer to include a hyperlink to your new domain name or you can have FWM create an icon for you that we can link to your new domain name. Confused? Contact Customer Service or fill out a Support Request form from DSS and let us help you.

That’s it!
It really is that simple.
