Four Tips to Creating Web Content that Converts!

Your website content is what will attract search engines and contribute to the conversion process. That means you have to approach content writing with a purpose and a strategy.

Below are four tips to help you create content that converts your Web visitors into contacts:

  1. Use bulleted lists and subheadings. Nothing is worse than trying to read blocks of long text on your computer screen. In fact, most people won’t do it. They will move on to another page that has the information in a more concise manner. Therefore, when writing your content, try to use bulleted lists. You should also try to incorporate subheadings to break up the content even further.
  2. Make your content interesting. You may not be a trained journalist, but you can take the time to make your content appealing to your readers. Avoid legal terms that the average person doesn’t use and keep your information short and to the point. If you have examples you can throw into your content to illustrate your main topics, that would help as well.
  3. Answer the questions people are asking. When consumers search the Internet, they are typically looking for solutions to their problems. Make sure your content addresses the common questions that your clients ask.
  4. Don’t brag about yourself or your firm. There is a time and a place to tell your prospects about your education and experience, but it shouldn’t happen in the first few paragraphs of your content. People just want to know if you have the answers they are looking for and how you can help.
