Two Social Networks Aligning - Find Out How That Affects Your Business

Posted on Nov 30, 2010

MySpace was one of the first social media sites on the scene and at one time, was the largest online social network.  However, MySpace lost its first place position to Facebook.

MySpace is Taking Big Steps
Recently, MySpace has made a concerted effort to boost its relevance in the social media world.  Not only has MySpace completed a design overhaul, it has also tried to revive its position by aligning with Facebook.  Last August, MySpace synced its service with Facebook, so users could share content with their Facebook friends.  Since then, over 1 million MySpace users have started utilizing this feature.  Earlier this month, another major change was unveiled.

MySpace now allows users to fill their MySpace pages with the likes and interests from their Facebook profiles.  But that’s not all.  They can also stream MySpace content to the page based on the information from Facebook.  This feature has been named, Mashup with Facebook.

Don’t Sit on the Sidelines
The fact that MySpace has taken such a huge step to align with its rival shows that Facebook is a force that cannot be ignored.  That also means you cannot ignore Facebook when it comes to your lawyer marketing campaign.  People of all ages are using Facebook to connect with friends, family members and even businesses.  They are also relying on their Facebook friends for assistance in finding service professionals, including lawyers.

If you are not using Facebook to attract more cases, you are missing out.  Don’t sit back while your competitors take all of your prospects.  Get involved in social media!
