If you have a problem, Karen Martin has a solution. And if she doesn’t have one, she’ll go find someone who does. As the Customer Service Manager (also known as the Happiness Director) at Foster Web Marketing, she is determined to knock the socks off of anyone who contacts us with an issue.
Karen is used to wearing many hats. She started out as a hairdresser before completely switching careers to customer service in the technology sector. From there she moved into purchasing, office management, travel management, and project management, while gaining experience in communications and social media. She has worked with other content management systems and finds DSS to be far superior and user-friendly in comparison. Over the years, she has collected all the broad experience and skills she needs to keep clients happy, productive, and successful.
Karen and her team strive to raise the bar on customer service to new heights on a daily basis. What does she think is the backbone of stellar customer service? “Listening is the most important thing I can do. I listen, I make sure I understand, and I respond. Our clients don’t want to hear a scripted response. They want me to understand what they are saying and find an answer. They want more than a voice on the other end of the phone.”
What does she like most about Foster Web Marketing so far? “Our clients are the best. They want to succeed and are willing to work with us to make it happen. My other favorite is our team here at FWM—they rock!”
