The Anatomy of a Successful Website Design: Next Step Foot & Ankle Clinic

Next Step Foot & Ankle Clinic

Dr. Darren Silvester signed with us during the Top Practice summit in September 2014, and a short month later we began revamping the Next Step Foot & Ankle Clinic website. Dr. Silvester didn’t love his prior website in large part because it didn’t make use of any calls to action, conversion was low, and there was a lack of original content on the site.

Company management wished to have a website that was full of information and easy to navigate. We worked to give them all of this and more. In the end we created a site that drove up contacts and conversions, in part due to our use of the following unique features. In fact, in the past three months, online contacts have more than tripled!

Site Features

A Fantastic Foot Widget

What we did: We helped create a fun and functional foot widget that allows potential patients to hover over “where it hurts.” A graphic pops up, and the user who clicks on the image is taken to an informative video and in-depth article on the most common causes of his pain. The widget is displayed on the right side of nearly every page on the website.

Why does it work? It works because people love interactive elements and because the widget gives them custom results, tailored to their needs. It’s like getting a free consultation before they even walk through the door!

Make a Payment Link

What we did: We added a payment link that is also displayed prominently on the right side of most pages. Attached to the link is a secure payment form.

Why does it work? The link gives New Step Foot & Ankle another way to collect payments from their patients. If you are a podiatrist, you know that this can be a challenge. So allowing online payments helps the clinic give their patients an easy, online payment option, encouraging them to pay in a timely manner.
