The algorithm change will impact the following types of searches:

• Regularly occurring events
• Frequent updates

Keep in mind that this type of content is based on current trends and events. It is also time sensitive.

Google won’t share exactly how “freshness” is determined, but it did tell Search Engine Land,“freshness is one component, but we also look at the content of the result, including topicality and quality.”
