Creating Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) in DSS
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) provide readers with answers to the most common questions about your industry, business, or practice areas. To be effective, FAQs must be accurate, concise, easy to read, and relatable to your audience. You should focus on questions you frequently get from your clients or have a general appeal to the kinds of clients you’re trying to attract.
To get to the FAQ section in DSS, select Content > FAQs from the navigation drop-down. When creating an FAQ, you will see your standard content fields, but in place of the “Headline” and “Rich Content Editor” fields, you will see “Question” and “Answer.”
You want to clearly state the question you are answering on this page. It will not only help users understand they are in the right place but since many people use questions as their search queries, this could also have a positive impact on your ranking.
Here are some examples of FAQ topic ideas:
- What should I expect from my first visit with a podiatrist?
- How much does it cost to hire an attorney?
- How long do I have to file a car accident lawsuit in California?
- How much is my case worth?
Be succinct when answering the question, but don’t be too brief. You want to provide the information without making the user work for it but also use this opportunity to keep them engaged. This is a good opportunity to assign an offer to the page if it’s relevant to the question.
