Susie began working for Foster Web Marketing in March 2017 as a Digital Marketing Strategist.
Susie attended Radford University in Virginia and graduated with a BA in Communications and a concentration in Public Relations. After college, Susie interned for the Washington Redskins for their charitable foundation in the community relations department and was also an events assistant at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club and American Lung Association of D.C.
Later, Susie started her own events planning company called Susie Q Events, focusing on weddings and proposal planning. Susie has actually owned two companies, and her motto is “Go for it.” She believes that you can do anything you put your mind to, and the details will work themselves out.
After working as an event planner, Susie transitioned to IT and worked as a technical cost estimator for four years. This job was completely out of Susie’s realm of experience, but she just “went for it” and later went on to do technical cost estimation for large government defense systems. She also worked as a Community Liaison for a home healthcare company.
Additionally, Susie co-owned a custom woodworking company with her husband. She did a little bit of building, but mostly she focused on sales and marketing for the business. For both of the companies she owned, Susie did all the SEO and website maintenance, which brought her to Foster Web Marketing. After analyzing the work she had done and considering what she liked most about each company, she realized she most enjoyed seeing a company grow and excel. Susie believes that digital marketing is the way of the future and how companies are going to succeed.
