Magazines, newspapers and other printed publications spend a great amount of time on creating headlines, and there is a reason. The headline is what will prompt someone to read an article. It is as simple as that. Your blog is no different. If you want people to read what you have to say, you need to entice them to do so. That means you need to put some thought into your headlines.

Things to consider when developing your attorney blog headlines.

Speak to your audience.

What thoughts are going through your prospects’ minds as they search the Internet? What kind of language do your clients use when describing their cases? Your headline should be written in the language of your audience.

Offer value.

What will your Web visitors gain by reading your blog post? Will they learn the top 5 actions to avoid after a car crash? Will they learn the secrets insurance companies keep hidden? Your headline should explain what value the written piece has to offer.

Include a keyword.

This one can be a little tricky. One of the major elements in creating a piece that is highly optimized is the headline. You therefore need to focus on creating a headline that catches your prospects’ attention, but also attracts search engines.  This type of headline is possible, it just takes a little creativity.
