I’m willing to bet that you’ve heard the words “follow up sequence” or “drip campaign” once or twice, but what do these two terms actually mean? First of all, they are referring to the same marketing strategy, one that focuses on keeping you in front of your prospects even after they’ve interacted with your website by filling out a form or downloading an offer.

So how does it work? Say a prospect goes to your website and downloads your free book. After submitting his contact information, he not only has the option to download the book from your website, but he also receives an email thanking him for his interest with a PDF of the book attached. Then over the next several weeks, he will receive an email that you set up that “follows up” with him about the book and “drips” information about how the book can help. This helps to keep you at the front of the prospect’s mind so that any time he thinks of issues raised in your book, that he is thinking of you and your business as well.

There are several applications that can help you set up follow up sequences, including our very own DSS. If you would like to find out how we can help you design or implement a follow up sequence give us a call at 888.886.0939. We are always more than happy to help!
