Dr. Nathan Ivey is a successful podiatrist and the owner of New Mexico Foot & Ankle Institute. However, his path to entrepreneurial success hasn’t always been easy. The challenges he’s faced have been intense at times, including uprooting his family from the Pacific Northwest, taking over an established practice several states away, and flying across New Mexico to commute between two offices.

Like many busy practice owners, the day-to-day pressures of running the business and seeing patients haven’t left him a lot of time to contend with all the twists and turns of learning how to scale and market your practice. That’s why he turned to the experts at Foster Web Marketing when he realized that his podiatry practice was ready for a change.

Taking a Podiatry Practice From Shoe-Leather Marketing to Digital Domination

Early on, Dr. Ivey’s practice was one of the only practices in New Mexico to have a full-time marketing person. However, as his practice grew and evolved over time, their marketing needed to evolve with it. Their previous model of old-fashioned, shoe-leather marketing wasn’t bringing in enough patients, and it was clear that they needed something better that was more in line with the times.

“At the end of the day, we knew we needed to take it to the next level,” Dr. Ivey tells us. “And I’m like, we’ve got to scale this. This is not going to work.” So, he set out to find a solution that could make a substantial difference in moving the needle forward.

Dr. Ivey is a member of Rem Jackson’s Top Performers group, which consists of some of the top podiatrist thought leaders in the country. Rem had highly recommended Foster Web Marketing, and Dr. Ivey had heard our team speak many times at different summits and events. It was really that existing relationship that gave him the confidence to move forward with us.

“At that point, we realized we want to go with the best,” Dr. Ivey tells us. “It was time to go with something that we knew we could scale and that we knew would take us to the very top and that we would never have to change again. So, obviously, we chose Foster because we knew that was where quality was going to come from.”

They came on board as FWM clients in July 2022, and their experiences since then have only confirmed that it was the right decision for the practice. “As we get into business, it’s the relationships that are so important,” Dr. Ivey says. “It was an easy choice. Luckily, it wasn’t just a relationship—you guys are just really the best at what you do.”
