With a new iPad application from Apple, publishing your own electronic attorney books may become easier than ever.

Last week, Apple announced the iBook Author app – a program that allows iPad users to create online books simply by dragging Word files, Page files, Keynote presentations, and images into a workspace. After organizing your information, resizing objects, and adding headings, users can then preview their books and publish them to the iBook store.

Harnessing the power of the iBook Author app for your law firm
So, what does this new iPad author app mean for your law office marketing plan? It means that you have another way to offer free e-books to iPad users and reach potential clients. It also means that book writing for lawyers may have just become even easier than ever before.

Not only is iBook Author easy to use, it will also allow attorneys to add dynamic elements to their existing e-books and guides, including photo galleries, videos, three-dimensional objects, interactive objects, animations, and pop-ups. In addition, book creators can export their publications in PDF form for more traditional distribution as an electronic file or as a hard copy.

The iBook Author app is free for iPad users and available at the Mac App store. Get started creating your iPad attorney books today!
